There is something about singing that frees the soul. Singing encourages and strengthens the body. People in oppression sing. It creates community, it communicates. It expresses emotions as well as words. Through a song we can express our whole self. Music is from God.
The last song in the book of Psalms - Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:6.
Don't forget to praise Him. He is always worthy. His eyes are upon you and He sees your pain and your fears, your joys and your hope. If you want to be free - praise God. Out loud, in your heart, in the car, at home, at work. Play it yourself, listen to someone else. Hum it, whistle it, belt it out. His concern is for you. Let your eyes be upon Him. Then you cannot be overcome.
Does the enemy praise? Not at all. But those who love the Lord can. In heaven there is constant singing and perpetual joy. So sing praises, wherever you are because God dwells in them. It will be a sweet aroma to Him and to your soul. Choose a song that moves you and sing it to Him . And He will rejoice over you with singing. Your praise will be returned.
