Faith is a doing word.

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! (Habakkuk 3:17,18)

Faith is a choice.

We can choose to have faith in anything we want to.

I choose to have faith in God because He loves me and despite everything that has happened to me, He has always come through. He brings healing, clarity, forgiveness. God is powerful. He is also just. But the faith I am most grateful that He has taught me is faith in His love for me.

Faith needs to grow. It is never instant. It does not depend on me. It comes from Him. I need to ask Him for it and let Him stretch my faith.

Faith is valuable, like a jewel. We can let it get dull. We can let the Enemy tarnish it, or we can keep lifting it up to God for Him to perfect it.

Faith is not a formula for success. It is a beautiful, valuable, victorious journey.

When Jesus asked people to have faith, he was asking them to believe in who He was (and is).

Put your faith in God. He will not disappoint. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. Believe that God is good and that He loves you. It is the only thing that cannot fail. He will always come through.
